Land of the Sweets Experience

Saturday, December 21st from 10:00-10:30am

Sunday, December 22nd from 1:00-1:30pm

Westbrook Performing Arts Center

Join your favorite Nutcracker characters for a magical afternoon. At this family-friendly event guests are invited to enjoy sweet treats, and warm beverages.  Each child will receive a special souvenir and have a chance to pose for photos with the iconic Sugar Plum Fairy.  Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult.

This event is an add on to the December 21st 11:00am or December 22nd 2:00pm performances of A Victorian Nutcracker and is available with purchase of a ticket to that performance. A Victorian Nutcracker tickets are available HERE.

Portland Ballet’s Board is thrilled to invite you to a pre-performance event before an evening of dance.  This winter, join us at Mast Landing to mingle with fellow arts enthusiasts.  Ticket includes one complimentary drink and light refreshments. This event is 21+.

This event is an add on to the March 14th performance of New Works and is available with purchase of a ticket to that performance. New Works tickets are available HERE.

Portland Ballet’s Board is thrilled to invite you to a pre-performance event before an evening of dance.  This spring, join us at Mast Landing to mingle with fellow arts enthusiasts.  Ticket includes one complimentary drink and light refreshments. This event is 21+.

Four Seasons

Friday, August 16th at 5:00pm

Congress Square Park

Portland Ballet is proud to bring 'Four Seasons' back to life in Congress Square Park in collaboration with the Friends of Congress Square Park!  Set to Vivaldi’s classical score, Nell Shipman created this contemporary piece for nine dancers which premiered outdoors in September 2020.  It explores how the inevitability of change affects and shapes us as individuals who, in turn, play a part in our larger community.  'Four Seasons' is a part of Portland Ballet’s repertoire that will resonate with audiences of all ages. This event is free.

 

44th Season Kickoff

Thursday, August 22nd from 6:00-8:00pm

Orange Bike Brewing

Join Portland Ballet at Orange Bike Brewing as we welcome our next Executive Director and usher in the 44th Season! This evening will include the opportunity to meet our new Executive Director, Melissa Martens Yaverbaum, gain insight into the upcoming season from Artistic Director, Nell Shipman, and enjoy light refreshments and craft gluten-free brews in the inviting atmosphere of Orange Bike Brewery.

Each ticket to this event includes one drink ticket and light refreshments.
