Ballet Essentials is a 5-week group class for beginner ballet students - no experience required. This class is intended for Teen and Adult beginner students to learn ballet basics in order to move into our Beginner/Intermediate drop-in classes (Open Classes) or Portland School of Ballet's Senior Division (PSB). Students may also re-enroll for the next session of Ballet Essentials.
Attire: Please plan to wear clothes that are comfortable and do not restrict movement (ie: leggings, t-shirt or tank top, loose-fitting shorts). Canvas ballet shoes are highly recommended. Socks are acceptable in place of ballet shoes but may be more slippery
Registration for the full 5- week session is required for Ballet Essentials. Tuition: $65.
When/How should I arrive for class?
- Students should come with their hair done and full dance attire already on (excluding ballet shoes), wearing outerwear on top. We do have a changing room available. We recommend arriving about 15 minutes prior to the start of class.
- Please minimize what you bring into the studio. Preferably, pack all your things in one large bag. While a water fountain is available, we recommend bringing a water bottle.
- If you are arriving late to class, please wait at the door for the instructor to wave you in at an appropriate time.
